Everything said and heard in the group will be treated with respect for the participants’ privacy. What is said in the group should stay within the group. Individuals may post questions or concerns on the message board, but please do so only as the concerns apply to oneself. Please respect others right to privacy.
Silence is acceptable.
No one needs to say anything they do not wish to say. No one needs to say anything. You may opt out the conversation and just listen, at any time.
The group is supportive rather than judgmental.

REFRAIN FROM TELLING SOMEONE HOW TO “SOLVE” THEIR CONCERN.
Share feelings experiences and perspectives, but refrain from telling someone how to “solve” their concern. W strive to maintain a learning and sharing approach. We want all have the chance to feel included and benefit.
ONLY ONE PERSON SPEAKS AT A TIME.
The group will be conducted online using a video conferencing platform. If you feel you are not being included or have specific questions or comments you would like to make you are welcome to also message the support group leader during the video conference who has the ability to communicate with each member via instant messaging TheSupport Leader/ facilitator will seek to include all who want to be a part of the group.
PLEASE TURN ALL MOBILE PHONES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES ON "SILENT" MODE.
Turn off any electronics that are not necessary for participation in the group to reduce outside noise interference.
WE SEEK TO BEGIN MEETINGS ON TIME.
This creates a better supportive environment for all participants.
THE GROUP IS A SAFE PLACE.
Here, we will be able to share feelings and at times it may feel vulnerable. We strive to provide support, information, reassurance, and encouragement.
WE MAINTAIN DIGNITY AT ALL TIMES.
No group member will ever be allowed to be humiliated or abused in any way. Avoid destructive behavior or you will be asked to leave.
THE GROUP IS NOT MEANT TO REPLACE INDIVIDUAL THERAPY OR GROUP THERAPY.
Although the results of attending a support group can be therapeutic, the group is not meant to replace individual therapy or group therapy. The facilitator can assist you in identifying resources for those services as needed. A list of general support resources will be provided.
If at any time you feel unsafe, or in danger of self harm, call 911. Inform a trusted close person, family member or friend. If you use language that infers harm to self or others while in the group, we will report this to an authority who will help you. We will always put personal and group safety first.
